Inspired by old photographs of my great-grandparents' row home in South Philadelphia, this piece captures a deeply personal memory: standing in the backyard and looking in through the open back door on a sleety night during the holidays. Rendered with rich, contemplative layers of dusty muted rose, deep umbers, and cold charcoal tones, "Pink Stucco and Storm Door" evokes a profound sense of nostalgia, stillness, and warmth amid the winter chill. Its substantial square format makes it a striking focal point for any room.
